Welcome to the Chaos Palace! We like weirdness here.

A few years ago, I started calling my house the Chaos Palace because it seemed like everything was always topsy-turvy. Eventually, living in a burbly, weird house full of creative craziness made me want to share some of my thoughts on:

  • having ADHD and anxiety (and parenting a kid with ADHD and anxiety)

  • being queer

  • living a life grounded in Jewish ideas

  • being Israeli-American

  • and anything else that contributes to a life that asks, “but why?”

What you’ll see in your inbox is a weekly newsletter (This Week at the Chaos Palace), wherein I explore the above themes through the lens of what’s happening at my Chaos Palace. Once a week you’ll also get a grab-bag of reported essays like these, Q&As with creatives and activists like these, and personal essays or poems like these.

If you’d like to support my work, you can subscribe for a low, low fee of $5 a month or $55 for the year. Or, you know, don’t. That’s fine, too! Life is complicated and expensive. Either way, thank you for being here with me.

Welcome to the Chaos Palace is about coloring outside society's boring ol' lines. More specifically, it's about ADHD, parenting, queerness, and Judaism.

I'm a queer writer living in New Jersey with my wife and kids. I write about the weirdness in the world, the people who are doing things differently, and all the in-between spaces that bring joy to the madness.
