The night walk sounds like a brilliant idea. And your description of repentance in the Jewish tradition is exactly like repentance (tawbah) in the Muslim tradition. It's not enough to say or be sorry, if you don't change the bad behaviour.
I really do love night walks… it can be so hard to find time to reconnect with my Big Kid during the busy week! And I also really do love learning all the many many ways in which our religions are similar. Just affirms my belief that we have so much more in common and should all be helping one another thrive instead of… all this truly devastating horrible-ness. Love ya, pal :)
